At Dacorum Rifle Club, as at all shooting clubs, we take safety very seriously.

The rules that we adopt are based on those recommended by the sport's national governing body, the National Small Bore Rifle Association.

• Always keep the rifle pointed down range.
• NEVER point a rifle at a person.
• Firearms should be unloaded when not in use or when passed from person to person.
• Never go down range unless authorised by the range officer.
• Wear shooting glasses and ear protection when you shoot.
• Never transport a loaded firearm.
• Avoid alcoholic beverages or drugs before or while shooting.
